2nd Regional Cultural Differences Conference
Vancouver, Canada
A warm welcome to the official website of the 2nd Regional Cultural Differences Conference (RCDC), an interdisciplinary in-person conference, which will take place in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada from July 8th to July 11th 2025.
When we hosted our inaugural conference in Barcelona, Spain in the summer of 2022, we were amazed by the diversity of scholars (e.g., from psychology, economics, geography, or social data science) who came together, exchanged ideas, and began to form a community. With the second version of RCDC, we are hoping to continue this process of building a stable, welcoming, and inclusive community.
As in 2022, we are organising this conference to bring together scholars from various disciplinary backgrounds who share an interest in regional cultural differences. The goal of our grassroots conference is to provide an intimate conference setting with approximately 50-60 participants across all career stages, and from many different parts of the world. As such, our conference is designed to offer an opportunity for intellectual exchange, academic networking, and interdisciplinary collaboration. In addition to bringing together experts who are already working on geo-psychological and regional cultural questions, the event also aims to attract scholars who may be interested in applying geo-psychological perspectives in their future work.
We look forward to your submissions and are delighted to welcome you to beautiful British Columbia. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to reach out to us.
Sincerely,
Friedrich Götz, Tobias Ebert, & Eric Hehman
